About This Design
The Gallito de las Rocas — Peru's national bird, white ink — stands above the country name on the front. To the right, a marinera dancer mid-spin, her skirt full and wide. The flag-filled map sits upper right. On the back, a Torillo de Pucará anchors the left of the number — the ceramic decorated bull from Pucará, Puno, the one that goes on rooftops. Machu Picchu sits upper right. Inside the zero: Andean agricultural terraces cut into a mountain face, the engineering of the Inca still visible from above. The left sleeve runs the coat of arms and map outline down to the cuff phrase.
