About this product
"¡Dale!" is Cuban for go — not a quiet go, an energetic one. It's the word that launches a plan into motion, that responds to an idea with full commitment, that turns a question into an action. Someone proposes something and you say dale: we're already moving. It's agreement with forward energy built in, an affirmative that doesn't sit still after it's said.
The word exists across Latin American Spanish but Cuba uses it with a particular charge. In Havana and across the island, "dale" is fast, enthusiastic, street-level — the word that runs through conversations between people who are already in motion together. It's not a considered response. It's a reflex of alignment. You hear an idea you're with and dale comes out before you've decided to say it.
"Dale" landed internationally through Miami's Cuban diaspora — most visibly through music, where it became a calling card for the energy of that community's particular loudness and forward drive. But the word was always street-level in Cuba before it was anything else. The Miami version is the diaspora's version. The original is Havana, moving fast, already past the conversation that started it.
The design puts the word in bold confident script on a natural cotton body. The typography doesn't pause. Neither does the word.
