About this product
The sombrero bombín sits beside the #10 on the front — the bowler hat that arrived from Europe in the 1920s for railroad workers and became, through a mix-up in sizing, the signature hat of Bolivia's cholitas. The cholita figure stands to the left of the country name: full pollera, manta across the shoulders, the bowler tilted just so. To the right, a siku — the panpipes of the Andean altiplano, the instrument that's been played at this altitude for over 3,000 years. On the back, a Diablada mask above the number — the horned, fanged, intricately detailed devil face of Oruro Carnival, one of the most elaborate masks in the world. Below the "1," a totora reed boat from Lake Titicaca. Inside the zero: a llama.
