Description

Sol de Mayo, tero, Centenario tower. The first World Cup.

Fresh off the cut-and-sew, so new it's still shedding lint. Turn it inside out, wash cold, dry low — first wash gets the loose fiber out and keeps the print clean.

  • Standard fit pullover, kangaroo pocket, ribbed cuffs
  • Sol de Mayo and tero in white ink, flag-fill map front
  • Torre de los Homenajes inside the back "0" — 1930
  • "Orientales, La Patria o La Tumba" near the left cuff

About this product

The Sol de Mayo sits beside the #10 on the front chest — the face sun that's been on the Uruguayan flag since 1828, white ink on black. A tero stands above the country name; Uruguay's national bird, the southern lapwing, the one that nests on the ground and screams when anything gets too close. The flag-filled map sits upper right. On the back, a Charrúa-style figure anchors the left side of the number, and inside the zero: the Torre de los Homenajes — the tower at Estadio Centenario, built for the 1930 World Cup, the first one ever played. Uruguay won it. The left sleeve carries the coat of arms and map outline down to the cuff, where the anthem's opening line ends the design.
