A capoeirista plants one hand and inverts — the au frozen in white ink, the move that's both martial and dance depending on who you ask. Cristo Redentor stands to the right, arms out, the statue on Corcovado that has overlooked Rio since 1931. Below the country name, a favela hillside: houses stacked on the slope, the density of Rocinha or Vidigal rendered in tight white ink detail. On the back, a jaguar walks atop the "0" — the animal that moves through the Amazon basin with no awareness of national borders. Below the "1," a samba dancer mid-movement, headdress full. Inside the zero: the Amazon River bending through forest canopy, the largest river system on earth framed in the negative space of a number.
